Dear Stride Families

We want to remind everyone, if your child will be absent from school please contact the office by emailing, strideavenue.info@burnabyschools.ca. 

Emailing the school is the most efficient way of letting the school know your child will be absent.

Many families call in the morning, and due to the high volume of phone calls and phone line saturation across the district during this cold and flu season, we’ve had reports that parents cannot get through or leave a phone message regarding a student’s absence.  Leaving a voice message can also be problematic as we have received incomplete messages due to cell phone reception being poor.

The email messages must be from parents and guardians only.

Please include:

(1) Student’s First and Last Name

(2) Division #____ – Teacher’s Name _____________

(3) Reason for absence: eg. Sick or medical appointment

(4) Relationship with the student: (mother, father, legal guardian)
