As principal of Stride Community School, I’m delighted to share with you our website, full of information and highlights of our school. It has been said that “a school is a building that has four walls and the future inside.” The Stride staff and I believe that the students we are educating will be the leaders and providers of tomorrow. However, we also believe that the “present” is important and to that end we attempt to provide an educational program, in a nurturing environment, that is relevant to the needs, interests and talents of our students. We believe that a school should be a meaningful community of learners and a learning place where all involved want to be – students, staff, parents and community members.
I believe schools are effective to the degree that parents and staff work together in supporting student learning. I welcome, and encourage, you to be an active participant in your child’s educational journey at our school.
