School News Summer Reading Club Posted by strideadmin June 7, 2021 Burnaby Public Library Summer Reading Club starts on Friday, June 18. Pick up your kit at any of our locations, or sign up online. Choose your reading goal. Read anything, anyway, anywhere and in any language. Being read to is OK, and it counts! Parents and caregivers! Check our video for tips on reading with kids Kids! School News Kindergarten and New Student Registration for September Posted by strideadmin January 15, 2021 February is registration month for the 2021-22 school year for all new students. Priority placement is given to those who apply by the deadline of Thursday, February 25th, 2021 for: Students who would like to enrol in one of our Programs of Choice (some programs have earlier application deadlines, please check the District’s website:www.burnabyschools.ca) Students who would like to enrol in one of our Language Programs: French Immersion and Mandarin Language Arts Students who are starting Kindergarten next September Students who will be new to the District or are living outside of Burnaby Students who would like to attend another school other than their home school (cross-district transfer) Please have the following documents at hand when registering online: Birth Certificate showing parents/guardianship (if born in Canada, Immigration Canada documents if not) Citizenship for parent (Birth Certificate, Canadian Passport/ Immigration Documents 2 pieces of Proof of Address showing new/current address (Government Tax document, Purchase or Rental Agreement, Utility Bill) Registration is ongoing throughout the year.
